Historical Note

The Arboretum Lakeside Trail was a public initiative to construct a walking and bicycle path from the Madison Park neighborhood, along the Arboretum and to Foster Island Parkway. If constructed the trail would have provided a pathway between the UW and the area of Seattle south of 520. The proposal was fully funded and permitted, however, the project ultimately failed.

Scope and Content

Audio cassettes, clippings, correspondence, feasiblilty studies, newsletters, petitions, promotional materials, and other materials.

Includes a small number of records of the Arboretum-Lakeside Community Committee.
