Biographical Note

Berman was born in 1919 in Czechoslovakia. She grew up in Uzharod (which became part of Russian Carpathia after 1938). During WWII, she was in a work/death camp in Stutthof and was an Auschwitz survivor. She later married Nicholas Berman.

Scope and Content

Interview by Jeanette Schrieber on June 6, 1979. Accession includes a biographical questionnaire, interviewer's notes, and transcript (fully edited).
