Biographical Note

Businessmen, political activists.

William Ross Rust born 1850, died 1928. Henry Arthur Rust born 1900, died 1936. W.R. Rust founded the Tacoma Smelting and Refining Company; was president, Chichagoff Mining Company, 1910-1934; with other business interests in Tacoma, Washington, and Alaska. He was interested in Democratic Party politics and a friend of Hugh C. Wallace, political activist and ambassador to France.
