Historical Note

Community group opposed to surface level routing of light rail transit through the Rainier Valley in southeast Seattle. Save Our Valley supported a tunnel instead and sued Sound Transit (Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority) to block the surface level plan. The organization lost the suit in 2002.
