Family: Spouse: He married Dawn Beresford (born c. 1935), who was 8 years his senior, in 1962. They divorced in 04/1977. In 1985, Dawn Beresford Heinsbergen, though divorced from Anthony, remained as Vice-President of A.T. Heinsbergen and Company. In 1985, Ruth Ryon of the Los Angeles Times wrote an article discussing the jobs that Anthony T. Heinsbergen was renovating done by his father, Antoon, sometimes 50 years earlier. She quoted Dawns Heinsbergen: ""When Tony's dad (Anthony B. Heinsbergen) was around, the firm did the interiors of 757 theaters, but only about 200 of them are left...." At that time, Anthony had 40 jobs in progress, many of which were renovations of previous designs.

Heinsbergen, was a noted muralist in public and commercial buildings, primarily in Southern California; his company (started by his father), Heinsbergen Decorating Company, was responsible for over 400 commissions in buildings throughout the United States; the Heinsbergens restored Herman Sachs's "Spirit of Transportation" mural on the porte cochere of the grand Bullocks Wilshire Department Store in 1973;
