Notes: The Spanish Baroque Hollywood Playhouse has been the scene of many television productions, including the ghastly "Lawrence Welk Show" as well as "This Is Your Life" in the 1950s-1960s. The building was included in the National Register of Historic Places' Hollywood Boulevard Commercial and Entertainment District drawn up in the early 1980s. An escutcheon at the center top of the pediment read "HPH" for Hollywood Playhouse.
Building History: One of four venues built in Hollywood to house theatrical productions during the 1920s; Gogerty and Weyl designed a number of buildings in this Hollywood neighborhood, including this essay in the Spanish Colonial Revival Style;
