Title: Urbanization and Interactions in the Early Historic Deccan: The Sātavāhana, Western Kṣatrapa, and Ikṣvāku Dynasties
Author: Skinner, Michael Christopher
Abstract: This thesis examines the development of urbanization and interactions in the early historic Deccan. The Satavahana, Western Ksatrapa, and Iksvaku dynasties are the political constituents of this study, and I draw from their numismatic and epigraphic evidence in order to construct a regional history of the early historic Deccan.
