Information for reproducing the numerical simulations for the journal article "Atmospheric Predictability Is Not Sensitive to the Slope of the Background Kinetic Energy Spectrum" by Daniel Lloveras, Lydia Tierney, and Dale Durran.

The numerical model (WRF version 3.6.1) is publicly available at https://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/users/download/get_sources.html

The input files used to run the simulations can be created by running the Python script "bwave_wrfinput.py", which is available in the folder "initialization_code". The details of the initialization code are included in "bwave_init.pdf".

The "namelist.input" file in the folder "namelist_example" contains the namelist settings used to run the simulations.
