The data used in the manuscript "An Experimental Assessment of Analytical Blockage Corrections for Turbines" by Hannah Ross and Brian Polagye are included in the files 'Confined.mat' and 'Unconfined.mat'. The processing code used to produce the results in the manuscript is included in the file 'applyBlockageCorrections.m'. All variable names correspond to the nomenclature used in the manuscript. The file 'Confined.mat' contains performance data collected in the Alice C. Tyler recirculating water flume at the University of Washington. The fields 'CFT' and 'CFTWake' contain the power and thrust coefficients of the cross-flow turbine over a range of tip-speed ratios. The fields also contain information about the turbine and channel geometry and the free-stream velocity. 'CFTWake' includes additional information about the turbine's wake. The fields 'AFT' and 'AFTWake' contain corresponding information about the axial-flow turbine. The file 'Unconfined.mat' contains similar data for both turbines, collected in the Jere A. Chase Ocean Engineering Laboratory tow tank at the University of New Hampshire. The variables are as follows: AT = projected area of the turbine rotor [m^2] AC = cross-sectional area of the channel [m^2] d0 = undisturbed upstream water depth [m] lambda = tip-speed ratio [dimensionless] CT = thrust coefficient [dimensionless] CP = power coefficient [dimensionless] V0 = free-stream velocity [m/s] AS = projected area of the support structure [m^2] A1 = cross-sectional area of the wake [m^2]
