Repeated sections north of the Seychelles Plateau Between 15 Jan and 19 Mar 2018, SG128 occupied 15 realization of a section extending from the edge of the Seychelles Plateau (3.8S) to 3S. The glider then transited east to the Maldives across the Equator. This file includes the 15 sections north of the Seychelles, gridded using an objective map with an horizontal decorrelation scale of 10 km and a vertical scale of 25m. lat: latitude grid lon: longitude of the glider along each section z: depth grid T: Objective map of temperature (degC) for each section. S: Objective map of salinity (psu) for each section. z_glider: Time series of the depth of the glider along each section time_glider: Time series of the time of the glider along each section lat_glider: Time series of latitude of the glider along each section dlat: Horizontal decor relation scale of the map dz: Vertical decor relation scale of the map T_mean: Mean temperature (degC) as a function of depth and distance. S_mean: Mean salinity (psu) as a function of depth and distance. time: Gridded estimate of the time when the glider was at this location and depth y: Distance from the Plateau lon0: Longitude of the origin (y=0) lat0: Latitude of the origin (y=0)
