    Abstract
The Loihi seamount is an active underwater volcano that has several known venting sites including Pele's Pit. CTD data were gathered and analyzed to characterize the recent volcanic activity of Pele's Pit. It was determined that no major geological events have occurred in the recent past at Pele's Pit.
