The composition explores coordinated physical movements in concert band literature representing the loss of sanity resulting in the performers acting crazed, fearful, and more alert. This piece also explores vocal sound effects in concert band literature, such as the tongue roll “krrrrr” weaving with percussion instruments that sound similar to the voiced gesture, and the unvoiced “t” “k” sound effects representing a clock ticking.
