Bechtold, James Scott2011-05-312011-05-312009-02-18http://hdl.handle.net/1773/16552Bechtold will describe the Hood Canal Dissolved Oxygen Program, which measures and models dead zones in Hood Canal. Various factors will be presented, including red alder, domestic septic systems, atmosphere, surface water, surface runoff and groundwater, shoreline areas, and streams. Two models will be considered: the Distributed Hydrology Soil Vegetation Model, and the Solute Export Model. Groundwater seepage inputs will be identified. Finally, Bechtold will outline the next steps for future research.en-USwatershedshydrologic modelsdissolved oxygeneutrophicationgroundwaterstormwaterstream flowrunoffwater pollutiontotal maximum daily loadnitrogenSoil Vegetation Atmosphere Transfer modelssoil transport processessoluteswaterFrom Watersheds to the Sea in Puget Sound: the (Inferred) Dynamics of Chemical ExportPresentation
