The three themes identified are trauma prevalence among refugees, language barriers for refugees, and differences between international and local accommodations for refugee students. The paper examines how practices in Washington's Puget Sound regional school districts align with current research. This research also assesses the Puget Sound region's accommodations for refugee students and their families.
