Proceedings from the University of Washington School of Oceanography Undergraduate Thesis Research Expedition to Glacier Bay Alaska, March 2008. 296pp.http://hdl.handle.net/1773/3762This study measured and identified the diatom population at three distinct areas in Glacier Bay. Diatoms play a significant role in the absorption of carbon dioxide in the oceans, but have not been fully characterized in Glacier Bay. Further work would elucidate the factors contributing to the diversity in diatom groups.en-USDiatoms--Alaska--Glacier Bay--identificationPhytoplankton populations--Alaska--Glacier BayMarine plankton--measurementRelative Abundance and Distribution of Phytoplankton in Glacier Bay, AlaskaOther
