Title: A characterization of the Equatorial Undercurrent between 92°00’W and 91°20’W
Author: Odle, Kevin Lee
Abstract: During January 2006, this study examined how the Equatorial Undercurrent (EUC) was disrupted by the western portion of the Galapagos Islands using an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP), deployed drifters, and discrete water sampling. Along 92 degrees W, the EUC occurred at an average depth of about 100 meters. The EUC flow around the northern portion of the Galapagos was much greater than the flow to the south.
