How does interruption show up in our bodies? Interruption is an important theme in this collection, which attempts to acknowledge bodily interruptions, interruptions of speech, identity, silence, power, and memory. This manuscript, at its core, is about the reclamation of the Black Body in different stages of life. A hybrid work that includes poetry, fictional short stories, and stream-of-consciousness writing, this collection appreciates the body and what it holds. The body serves as an archive, preserving moments of tenderness and love alongside experiences of abandonment, longing, and pain.
