dc.description.abstractThis study measured chlorophyll zones and water density in Glacier Bay to determine where thin layers reside in the water column. Thin layers of phytoplankton provide food and shelter to organisms, thus playing an important role in the overall productivity of any body of water. Thin layers were identified at increasingly greater depth as distance increases from the mouth of Glacier Bay.en
