dc.descriptionConflict between Garcia and and far right. Ochoa and D'Aubuisson are far right, Ochoa supported ARENA election. Ochoa was getting goood press for military tactics. Real threat to Garcia. Even though forces are upset with Garcia, they supported him over Ochoa because Far Right would have more say in military affairs= more aggressive and death squads in areas with free reign. Agression by righ wing would mean aid from US more difficult, so support Garcia.
