A Comparative Study of Mongolian Political Terminology
Abstract
By Mongolian in the linguistic context, this study has in mind
what has been referred to as East Mongolian, that is, the language whose
various dialects are spoken by the tribes inhabiting the geographical
areas of Inner and Outer Mongolia. The two main dialects with which we
are here dealing are Khalkha and Chakhar. The former is the predominant
dialect of Outer Mongolia, and the latter of Inner Mongolia.
