| dc.description.abstract | This thesis explores the overlap between painting and the digital image in an age defined by constant visual saturation. My work investigates how humor, irony, and overstimulation shape perception and emotion in online spaces. By translating memes, screenshots, and fragments of digital trash into hand-painted compositions, I attempt to hold fleeting moments still long enough to examine them. Painting becomes both resistance and record or an insistence on slowness within a culture of instant visibility. The project reflects the emotional contradictions of living online: to feel too much and nothing at once. | |
