Abstract

Baker will discuss the issue of emerging contaminants in Puget Sound, such as brominated flame retardants and microplastics. He will review the common features of the chemical classes studied, pointing out that risk assessment is limited by lack of information on these 'new' materials. He will also present several relevant studies.
