Incorporating Climate Change Impacts into Water Resource Planning: an Example in King County

Abstract

Palmer will review global, regional, and local evidence of climate change. He will discuss how to evaluate the impacts of climate change. He will describe two studies: the Seattle Climate Change Study and the Snohomish Basin Climate Change Study. He will provide an overview of the King County planning process. Finally, he will illustrate the challenges of integrating emerging science into policy.
