| dc.description.abstract | Hinckley will discuss the role of trees and forests in the hydrologic cycle. He will consider three unique aspects: hydraulic redistribution, forest structure and hydrological modifications, and night-time transpiration. He will look at the factors that limit the height of trees, presenting relevant studies that demonstrate these points.
