dc.description.abstractI intend this bibliography as a guide to historical research in the maritime labor history of the Pacific Northwest from 1850 to 2012. It directs researchers toward historical resources, including manuscripts, theses and dissertation, articles, books, clippings, and other published works, relating to the workers, organizations, issues, activities, and events that are involved in the maritime industries of the Pacific Northwest. It includes materials relating to the sea, sounds, rivers, and lakes of the Pacific Northwest from San Francisco north to the Bering Sea. It includes materials relating to seamen, sailors, fishermen, longshoremen, warehousemen, ferrymen, shipbuilders, shipyards, cannery workers, the organizations that represented them and the individuals and organizations that employed them.en_US
