| dc.description.abstract | This study reviews the history of US poverty and social policies and analyzes alternative solutions and reforms to current income support systems. It examines welfare schemes that aims to reduce wealth and income inequality and poverty, specifically the use of a Universal Basic Loan (UBL). By conducting both a stakeholder and historical analysis, this paper determines that a UBL structure could be crafted to combine successful elements and eliminate failures of current US social policies. Realizing a Universal Basic Loan (UBL) is therefore the primary policy reform recommendation of this paper. | en_US |
