Abstract

The goal of this experiment was to determine if Acartia, a species of zooplankton, fed based on the size of food available. Acartia which more specifically are a type of copepod, have demonstrated this in other experiments. This experiment consisted of gathering seawater from Academy Bay in the Galapagos Islands, filtering it to remove zooplankton, then incubating it for four set time periods.
