| dc.description.abstract | Spatial agency is enacting the freedom to choose to do or not to do something in/with/on the world around you. It is the recognition that everyone has a part to play in making the world around them. Appropriation is the very act of doing this, of making something your own. This thesis is a critique of single family zoning in Seattle, as well as how a population surge is being handled. This project is an experiment with the ideas of spatial agency, appropriation, and experimental dwelling in Seattle. | |
