Let Me Hamlet
Abstract
Let Me Hamlet is a solo performance, a monologue of a middle-aged actor who has been yearning to play the lead role Hamlet but ended up with being cast in minor and supporting roles throughout his career. Through him, the play explores the fundamental fear and vulnerability of being an actor whose job is to be chosen all the time. Furthermore, it shares the value of endeavor itself and that the endeavor is a lifeline of those who are brave enough to put themselves out in the world in whatever field.
