What are food deserts? Can they contribute to poor health outcomes? What solutions have communities from different parts of the world found to lessen food desert's effects? Though food deserts are an incredibly complex issue, this paper will examine the factors that create food deserts, their link to poor health outcomes and how different global communities have established local and innovative solutions to this issue.
