Recommendation to Implement an Alliance-wide Alternative to the LCSH “Illegal Aliens” Subject Terminology

Abstract

Recommendation from the Orbis Cascade Alliance Cataloging Standing Group and Network Zone Manager that the Alliance establish a central mechanism for replacing the Library of Congress Subject Heading “Illegal Aliens” with the recommended alternative term “Undocumented immigrants” in the Alliance shared ILS (Integrated Library System).
