Thesis (Ph.D.)--University of Washington, 2018
This dissertation seeks to identify possible factors that might explain the relative success or lack of success of efforts to commercialize university-owned inventions. The analytic framework for this study is based on an entrepreneurial theory that claims that there is no best way to manage an organization, the optimal course is contingent upon the internal structure and the external situation.
