Abstract

This study measured and identified the diatom population at three distinct areas in Glacier Bay. Diatoms play a significant role in the absorption of carbon dioxide in the oceans, but have not been fully characterized in Glacier Bay. Further work would elucidate the factors contributing to the diversity in diatom groups.
