dc.description.abstractOral Interviews with Leroy W. Soper conducted by Tom Orton in 2009. Soper (1924-2016), born in Pomeroy, Washington, was fondly known as Seattle's "Mr. Books". He worked at the Walla Walla Bookshop (1952-1958), the University Bookstore (1959-1969, 1977-1993), and Raymar Northwest Book Company (1970-1976). Soper was one of 5 people who founded the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association in 1960.en_US
