dc.description.abstractobject-tivity is a draft collection of short fictional horror stories based in a singular fictional place called The City. Each character is a role that has been stripped of their humanity, their name, and are given titles to fit the themes of human insignificance and rejection of anthropocentrism by the presence of an omnipresent, detached narrator. This short story collection uses concepts and inspirations such as “object-oriented ontology” and the SCP Foundation to create a world where inanimate objects hold sentient power and strip away the “control” that we as a society have deemed is exclusive to only humans.
