Monohan will describe a study investigating the function of riparian buffers. First, she will provide some background about Puget Sound lowland agricultural streams: salmonid and agricultural uses. She will outline a comparison of pasture and row crop streams. She will also review further analyses of watershed area, land use coverage, discharge, and subsurface nitrogen transformations. Finally, she will summarize the results and offer some conclusions.en_US
