Abstract

Doctrine of Echoes is a collection of documentary poetics exploring the tension betweenmilitary language and lived experience during the Global war on Terror and more specifically Afghanistan. The collection draws from military doctrine, field manuals, personal memory, and historical documents. This collection explores how institutional language shapes our understanding of conflict while obscuring its human consequences.
