Strange Bedfellows: A marriage of housing and industry on the Duwamish Waterway, or a sordid tale of domestic bliss

Abstract

This thesis proposes joining affordable housing with small industrial spaces in order to reconnect the neighborhoods of Georgetown and South Park with the Duwamish Waterway. By embracing the industrial landscape and weaving residential spaces and craft industry together, the riverbed is transformed from a single intense use to a vibrant living dynamic network of relationships.
