Abstract

Roberts will discuss riparian vegetation changes, and how these may contribute to Hood Canal's dissolved oxygen issues. She will present historical evidence of the shift in plants, based on pollen evidence in Lake Washington. Next, she will describe a study, including an outline of the methods and initial litterfall results. She will conclude by discussing the relevance and potential implications for Hood Canal.
