Critical paper engaging with texts about sexual violence and writing about queer sexuality and excess as a way out and through writing about trauma. This paper discusses texts including Chelsea Girls by Eileen Myles, The Chronology of Water by Lidia Yuknavitch, Valencia by Michelle Tea, and other seminal works of queer and lesbian litearture. This paper discusses trauma theory through frameworks of embodied trauma as discussed in The Body Keeps the Score, The Need for A New Trauma Theory, and other works.
