This paper discusses texts including Chelsea Girls by Eileen Myles, The Chronology of Water by Lidia Yuknavitch, Valencia by Michelle Tea, and other seminal works of queer and lesbian litearture. This paper discusses trauma theory through frameworks of embodied trauma as discussed in The Body Keeps the Score, The Need for A New Trauma Theory, and other works.
