Guangzhou is a city with profound historical and cultural heritage in southern China. Along with the rapid population increase and development, the new cultural centers of the city have been built as the city landmark rather than part of public everyday life. Meanwhile, more and more traditional neighborhoods with historical pattern are gradually being demolished. Given by this situation, this thesis propose a new type of community culture center that bring the culture life back to daily life, and the thesis would also explore a way to integrate the community cultural center with the historical context and reduce the destruction of the existing urban fabric by architectural occupation. Design focuses on maintain the existing urban pattern and active use of the unused space as much as possible, in order to respond to the history district and become a permanent part of neighborhood history.en_US
